Hotel Herzog, situated near Goethe Square in Munich, was getting old. Repositioning was urgently required.

Together with the owner, it was decided to renew and re-brand the hotel. Inspired by the vitality of Mediterranean countries, we developed a Mediterranean concept. On the ground floor, the façade was opened up, the lobby was redesigned, and the restaurant was instilled with an Italian flair and positioned indipendently. The new rooms invite the guests to take a journey around the Mediterranean. Rooms, infused with either a French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, or Turkish flair, achieve a fresh, new atmosphere. The corridors and stairwells evoke memories of olive groves. The hotel was renovated in several steps. The last block with 10 new rooms will be completed in 2017.

In spring 2016, the Hotel Herzog has been “reopened” with a new look as the “new” Hotel Gio.
